CRANBERRIES' 90s HIT SONG
Two movies have different descriptions of
Zombies. In Warm bodies, zombies were
dead people who walk stupidly slow in which some of them have a possibility to
be resurrected as instigated by the lead role who fell in love with a warm-body
human. In World War Z on the other hand
Zombies could run fast, lifted walls and were strong yet so scrupulous with the
type of blood they should devour: they preferred healthy blood and once one become
a zombie, it was end of the line.
I grew up with movies that portray Zombies
as evil stricken unlike the current movies which originate Zombies from virus. And so I would say early zombie movies are
more in the horror genre than the current zombie movies which may more categorised
in the science fiction or suspense thriller.
Zombie: the sound of it is already a
giveaway in each origin – AFRICA. And
that was my first impression when I got to be introduced with the whole idea of
zombies in the early movies. Dead people
were come to life by magic by an African Voodoo Doctor, sorcerer or whatever. A little chant and some fire and smoke
and you got a slow walking scary Zombie.
I could put a politically incorrect idea
that may be the Voodoo doctor does not perform magic after all and instead he sprinkles
some magic dust called virus. Aha. And so that’s how the new generation of zombies
emerge.
However I am not really a Zombie Fan and
any horror movie for that matter. I
prefer listening to the 90s hit song of Cranberries.
