DIFFERENT MIND-SETS

I accept the fact that I cannot stop people from contributing to the fall of mankind. I should stop ranting at people who do bad things to good people. These are people who have so many wicked ways under their sleeves whose mission is to annihilate the good guys specially those who are getting in their way in serving their self-centred ego. In my mind I thought they should not do that and it’s wrong. Now I have a clearer understanding that our minds wired differently. It seems that they don’t care if they are certified a-holes in the site of whoever has the right senses. I guess I was brought up differently valuing more on giving and find happiness in it rather receiving, focusing more on what I can do and how I can harness it and finding achievement in working on a task rather than claiming credits on what I did not work on. People on the opposite extreme of me may not understand my concept of happiness, focus and achievement and may find it odd for the reason that they a...

THE TRUTH IS IN THE BIG EYES

Image
Margaret’s husband, Walter, made it look like he was the painter behind her artworks. Her works became popular and his masquerade continued on earning money and recognition. Little did he know that the hideous setup created moral damage to Margaret that led to a crumbling marriage. The truth surfaced in the end and Margaret was salvaged from the ugly deception. I have twitted that Big Eyes is must-see movie but I never got around telling the reason why. Maybe because this is just me saying that this is one of those that makes me glad for the reason that it bring to surface what is right and what is wrong, I am glad that there is such a story that brings out what should be right. I think I have been in many places where people do not know credit grabbing is wrong. Or maybe some of them know but do not care. There are only two kinds of people in this case: one who is ignorant and one who is wicked.

THE WISE AND THE GULLIBLE

I was having my lunch one day with other colleagues in the council.   I had my “pancit” (A quick-to-cook noodle) which a leftover food on my bday celeb last Sunday and two my colleagues in front of me were having instant noodles with all the opened sachets on the table.   I asked, “Did you cook the noodle just in the microwave oven?”   “Yes”, said one of my colleagues, “it was a lazy thing to do.”   “Yeah and some of it popped out and made a big mess inside the oven”, commented the other colleague.   “That is not true,” he objected.   “I have been working on being tidy and organised for a long time and I think I become good at it.   And hearing one comment like that makes everything about me different and my achievement all gone.”   At that moment, I froze.   And then it made me ponder about the power of words.   One word in an instant can change a hundred years of facts.   A word can make a differe...

Recording The Bad Side in The Wrong Intention

What is this? A celebrity couple versus a veteran reporter in a brawl. It all started when the reporter taking pictures or video of the female celeb in her worst mood in public which upset the husband. Regardless of who punched or kicked first, the mere fact that one is  being recorded without consent especially when the intention is to showcase the not~so-good side of ones image is something to be upset about. I would be upset if people would record my bad side in the wrong intention. That is really low.  Now it becomes  business to watch out and highlight famous people's not so good side. Paparazzi is such a common term.  Money talks your way out of good conduct. It is still rude. It is low. Yet technology carried in your pocket is a handy dandy tool for you to easily do it whether it is right or wrong. Not all of us are reporters. Yet most of us possess the means. Be responsible. Put the means in good use.
