Have I Been True to the Title?
Have I been true to the title of the blog Random Thought?
Although my recent blogs came out from my random thoughts, they do not look like they are random but rather well coordinated and most of the time deeper thoughts. Believe me, they came out random in the first draft and some of which have been picked out and organised to put in the blog in a coordinated way with good title. I believe in random thoughts because in writing in unguarded and unsupervised moment is where I know myself more.
Again, have I been true? First draft, yes. Second and third draft, not quite.
Maybe in order to stay living the title, the final draft should be a collection of variety of random thoughts in which I should not bother too much in how I connect them.
Here goes.
SUBCONSCIOUS
The subconscious plays an important role in our lives even when we don’t know it. it is proven. Why are my fingers coordinated with what I think? What is the matter? Type. Type. Type. I know almost the keys in the keyboard even without looking. I believe it is the subconscious working. It is beyond reasoning that only the common mind can think. Sometimes gut feels means everything. There is no need for explanation. It is just the right thing to do. Dreams may have some answers to what the subconscious wanting to say. The Movie Inception explains that clearly or not. God may be part of that subconscious. If we can only tap the subconscious, maybe, maybe, maybe. Anyhow, I am still typing.
It’s easy to do something once it is in the system. That is why it is very important to get in the habit of doing something so that the system will capture it. If you want to be a good person, do the good, useful and needed habit all the time.
VULNERABLE
I don’t wanna be vulnerable. All us has gone through a situation where we are so naïve in which some nasty people exploit our vulnerability. Learn from experience. Make sure that you don’t do the same mistake twice.
TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE
I am currently rereading the book Tuesdays with Morrie my Mitch Albom. There are so many interesting quotes in the book. There was a movie made in 1998 about it too. Some memorable quotes are:
"The truth is . . . once you learn how to die, you learn how to live."
"So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."
"Do the kinds of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won’t be dissatisfied, you won’t be envious, you won’t be longing for somebody else’s things. On the contrary, you’ll be overwhelmed with what comes back."
The last sample quote is my favourite of all. I don’t need to get what others got because I got my own and I should be happy with what I have to give because this is what I am made of.
LIVE IN THE TRUTH
I make sure that I will try to live in the truth. Pretending to be what I am not is high maintenance for covering the truth. What you see is what you get. What I am capable is what you get. If I share my true capacity is the proclamation of how good God is in handing me over such gifts. I make sure to live and give what I currently got. Showing off is not my thing any more. I just do what I am capable of doing.
EATING YOUR WORDS
When you are always speaking about what you are not certain about most of the time, you end up eating your words because the truth will come out sooner or later. You must be bloated by now for eating too much of your words. If you keep on doing the habit, at least keep your word soft and sweet in case you have to eat them.
